The Krieger mixing & homogenising maschine is designed for processes under different process conditions.

Depending on the requirements Krieger has the necessary utilities like the CIP / SIP gear box with an integrated Cleaning an Sterilsation in Place system, a seal containment chamber for contained processes, etc...

Processing Excellence that endures time

Dear Customer

The Krieger mixing and homogenising process

                "Processing Excellence that endures time".

Invented for about 50 years and upgraded by many technical innovations the Krieger mixing & homogenising process still proves to be one of the most useful and efficient systems for processing  the complete range of cosmetics, food, pharmacautical and Bio applications.

In this issue we highlight some of the excellent processing features of the Krieger system.

Many of our recent  innovations  and many special QbD  projects realised for our customers  are derived  from the excellent processing features  of the Krieger  mixing and homogenisng system.

Furhter Examples of "Processing Excellence" can be found on our website under the section  process technology.

Yours faithfully,

The Krieger Mixing & Homogenising Process
Krieger's versatile Mixing & Homogenising Process allows manufacturing in a single machine the complete range of semi solids. (ointments, creams, lotions, topicals, injectables,...) and this with superb product quality and guaranteed long product lifespan.
mixingarm

The unique properties of our homogenising and mixing tools have been recognised by major pharmaceutical and cosmetics companies around the globe.

The Krieger mixing and homogenising process has following features:

  • Controlled Product Flow
  • Balanced Shear Force
  • Even Temperature Distribution
  • Aseptic, Sterile and Contained design

Controlled Product Flow

Krieger's mixing arms are Wing Shaped and produced to a special in house production method that results in a very stable but light stainless steel wing profile that resembles aircraft wings.Aigitator arms

The Krieger aerodynamic wing profile creates a controlled flow pattern in the vessel by moving much more dynamically the product from the outside to the inside of the vessel than other flat or round shaped agitators can do. The smaller horizontal paddels ensure a dynamic up and down movement.

The wing shaped agitators create a controlled product flow where each particle travels dynamically through the entire vessel according a given flow pattern.

Balanced Shear force

The C-TF homogeniser design allows all kinds of powders and liquids, very small quantities, and even shear sensitive ingredients to be perfectly homogenised without risk of damaging the ingredientflow homogenisers or over homogenising the product.

The C-TF is a powerfull device that can move the whole vessel content from bottom to top and vice versa from top to bottom, with a high flow through the homogeniser rotor stator openings.

The C-TF has a balanced shear force, meaning powerfull homogenising with a shear that does not damage ingredients or final product through over processing. The Krieger balanced shear is confirmed in R&D studies done at the institute of Pharma Technology and results are published in the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences magazine*.

Even Temperature Distribution

Thanks to balanced shear and the controlled mixing flow pattern generated by aerodynamic wing shaped agitators Krieger equipment can prove an even temperature distrubution in the whole vessel batch. This is extremely important for products that need to be sterilised.
