The Krieger Seal Containment Chamber - SCC 
is a state of the art sealing design for counter rotating agitators. It does not require any cooling liquids for the mechanical seals.
As a result, the expensive equipment required to sterilise mechanical seal cooling liquids is no longer needed.
The SIP cycle procedures are simplified because the Seal Containment Chamber can be easily steam sterilised together with the vessel's SIP cycle.
The separate validation procedure for sterilization of mechanical seal cooling liquids is, with this new technology, no longer necessary.

 Applications for SCC The SCC effectively accomodates both the low shear counter rotating mixers and the high speed mixer homogeniser.
Krieger has developed this new technology together with the world leader in pharmaceutical ophtalmic viscoelastics.
Krieger SCC's are used by pharmaceutical companies and bio companies who require enhanced mixing functions where contained and sterile mixing are stringent requirements. Krieger customers using SCC contained sterile technology include Alcon Labs, Lifecore Biomedical, & Baxter Biosciences. |
