Krieger and the Institute of Pharma Technology have a common research program to explore new process methods in the field of semi solids manufacturing. Current research focuses on monitoring systems of the homogenisation process. A Team of Krieger and a team of the Pharmaceutical Institute carry out the research tests under supervision of Prof. Dr. Martin Kuentz.

Krieger semi solids process research at IPT Lab

Institute of Pharma Technology

The institute is part of the School of Lifaula IPTe Sciences at the University of Applied Sciences, Northwestern Switzerland. Apart from organizing Bachelor and Masters courses, the school actively conducts applied research. The location of the institute is beneficially  situated in the middle of the Biovalley with close proximity to the bio- and pharmaceutical industry.

Krieger Lab Facility for applied Research
Mi Molto

On the campus facility of the Biopark (Rosental Syngenta), fully equipped laboratories are available for process research and analytical work. For Research on liquids & semi solids, a partnership with Krieger has been established.

Krieger processing equipment is used in an applied research project and it demonstrates to students, how liquid formulations are processed on industrial process equipment.

A further pillar of our collaboration is the access to the campus laboratory for Krieger customers. Customers, who would like to run preliminary tests on a small Krieger pilot scale unit, will find a well equipped laboratory. Testing and optimization can be efficiently performed using the Krieger equipment. Additional analytical tests can be performed, if required to complement the process experiments.
