New Class comes to Cloud Hands

Tribal Improv Bellydance

We are pleased to welcome Brigid to our class staff. She will be teaching Tribal Improv Bellydance which is a unique form of dance where participants use a vocabulary of moves and cues to perform a seamless dance. Tribal Bellydance has its roots in Middle Eastern, Indian, and North African culture. Performed in a group, the communication between dancers will create a unique bond that builds friendships, self confidence, and provides a great workout for your body and soul!

We will be offering a FREE INTRODUCTORY CLASS

Spring Cleaning

Time to dust behind the curtains, pull down cobwebs and generally freshen things up. It feels so good to open the windows and let the fresh air in. There are many ways to spring clean that we don't always think about.

Our homes - cleaning out the dust that accumulates over the winter, tossing out broken items, recycling things we no longer need. Freecycle is a wonderful website where you can give away items you no longer need.

Physically - Every season is a good time to detox our body. Feel renewed with spring tonics, herbal formulas, or the IonCleanse detox foot bath.

Emotionally - Letting go of grudges, past hurts, goals that no long fit your current lifestyle.

The History of Essential Oils

Our greatest knowledge about essential oils comes from the Egyptians. They discovered how to use the oils in healing ways. They represent man's first medicine. The Greeks also used aromatic oils for both physical problems as well as for psychological conditions like anxiety, depression and hysteria. They used aromas to create conducive atmospheres for spiritual, intellectual, creative and romantic activities.  read more

Lee (P/T receptionist) recently arranged The Beatles' album Abbey Road for his band, The Handsomes. The performance, which took place on 4/23 at the Tritone in Philadelphia, was a huge sucess. Saxophone, trumpet, drums and bass, along with female vocalists, gave the classic songs a new feel. To see a video from the performance click here.  Find out where Lee is playing next: Lee's performance calendar.

Palisades 5K Run
Linda, Diane, and Dylan offered complimentary massage and reflexology at the Palisades High School 5K run. It was a beautiful day to be outside and they enjoyed meeting the runners.

Simone, our Bellydance teacher for the past seven years will no longer be teaching at Cloud Hands. Her new job does not allow her the flexibility to teach. We appreciate all the years she taught at Cloud Hands. We will miss her dearly and wish her the best.

Letting Go

Dusty memories stored in my treasure chest

A silver dollar, may be of value

Although it's quite worn

Photos from the boardwalk

Silly, laughing, smiling faces

Sea shells and charms

Memories from a happier time

Locked in a box

Time to let go, time to let go

An earring never did find it's mate

A watch that stopped ticking a long time ago

Ticket stubs from travel to

Exotic places so far away

Love letter and poems

Still make me cry

Snapshots of him

There's one that I'll save

The others I'll let go

Time to let go, time to let go
