Divine Divas "Ladies night out"
JUNE 16th, 2012 

Our theme for this year's event is Black White Whatever!

  

We plan on encouraging our guests to wear either black or white and we will provide the splash of color for the night! As introduced at our previous event, we will continue with the Red Carpet arrivals, complete with paparazzi, music, food, prizes and lots of interactive fun!

Emergency First Aid/CPR - June 11th & 12th (two-day training)

5:30 - 9:30 PM at the South Side Community Centre (1578 Wolfe Ave) Cost is $60 (reduced rate).

This two-part training provides you with nationally recognized certificates, how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and take-home materials.

Digital Photography (beginners) - June 12

6:30 - 8:30 PM at the South Side Community Centre (1578 Wolfe Ave). Cost is $20.00. Register by June 5th

Do you have a digital camera? Are you struggling to understand the basic concepts? Learn about the basic features of your digital camera. Please bring your camera and manual for first night of the course. This course is geared for beginners.

New Age Meditation - June 13

New Age Meditation has been influenced by many of the aspects of popular new age culture today, such as Yoga, Buddhism and spirituality.

Immunization Clinic - June 26 

10:00 AM - 2:30 PM

A public Health Nurse is available to provide vaccinations and update immunization charts. Appointments are required.

Craft Cafe - Every Thursday in June

Deployment Activities

Deployment: an overseas operation, temporary duty, exercise, field operation, course, or special tasking.

Deployment Monthly Activity: Free Troyes Cinema Movie Tickets For families who have a loved one away, the PMFRC and DSC will be providing "FREE" movie tickets. These tickets are for the month of June only and will be availaible as of 28 May.
 
Tickets must be obtained by signing them out at the DSC location at the South Side Community Centre, 1578 Wolfe Ave. For more information, call Natasha at (613) 687-1478. 

Deployment  Rest & relaxation (R&R)

Families with Children Ages 0 - 12

Deployment R&R is open to all families experiencing a deployment. R&R provides 3.5 hours of free child care to support families who have a military member away. Participation is limited to one 3.5 hour session per family per month.
 
How to utilize R&R:

R&R Voucher for Casual Child Care
Families of deployed soldiers are entitled to one 3.5 hour voucher per month to access PMFRC Child Care services. Vouchers can only be redeemed Monday to Friday 8:00 am 4:00 pm for children aged 0-6.
 
R&R Reimbursement
Receive your 3.5 hours of R&R anytime that is convenient for you with the child care provider of your choice. The refund can be used for children aged 0-12.

Road to Mental Readiness: Pre-Deployment or Reintegration R2MR Workshops

Deployment Road to Mental Readiness (R2MR) workshops are an interactive deployment information session geared towards helping family members of deployed soldiers navigate through the emotional cycle of deployment, including the pre-deployment and reintegration phases.  Let's talk about expectations and normalities regarding their departure and/or homecoming and answer any questions about the deployment highway, as well as our deployment supports and services.

 Kiddie Kollege Nursery School

Open to military and civilian children two-and-a-half to five years of age. The two, three or five half-day sessions feature crafts, music, story-telling, special visitors and outdoor fun.
