FamilyForce: Benefiting Canadian Forces Families Everywhere

With Canadian Forces (CF) families living all over the world, the place they call "home" often spans across Canada's 10 provinces and three territories and over many international borders. Canadian Military Family Resource Centres (C/MFRCs) are found across these same areas to ensure that CF families can access the support they need.

As community-based organizations, each C/MFRC meets the needs of its community by delivering unique local services, as well as the core components of the Military Family Services Program (MFSP). These include:

  • Community orientation;
  • Language training;
  • Programs for children and youth
  • Employment and education assistance; and
  • Information and support throughout a CF member's deployment and reunion with his or her family.

Regardless of where they live, all CF families are eligible to receive the benefits these programs provide. Today, the Program ensures that support is available for all loved ones of CF personnel, including spouses, children and parents. Families of reservists and of the fallen are also eligible to receive these benefits.The reality though is that not all military families are able to regularly access the support provided through their local C/MFRCs - whether due to their location, current circumstances, lifestyle, or simply a lack of awareness.

In response, the FamilyForce website connects all CF families to their local C/MFRC through one central, easy-to-use directory. This "one-stop-shop" site also links families to national information, resources and services and provides general information about the Program.

Dedicated to supporting all Canadian military families, FamilyForce responds to the individual and collective needs of CF communities regardless of geographic location.

If you are a CF family member, take a look at www.familyforce.ca today.
