Anytime your soldier is away from home; our services, activities and various workshops are available to you. You can find both PMFRC Deployment Services and the Deployment Support Centre at the South Side Community Centre located at 1578 Wolfe Avenue or reach us at 613-687-2104 ext 223 and deployment.pmfrc@bellnet.ca. Deployment Monthly Activity: Sugar bush 

• Saturday March 24th,
  10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  Depart from the South Side Community Centre, 1578 Wolfe Ave.
  Cost is $5 per family, Register by Mon. 19th March
  
  The PMFRC and DSC invite families of deployed soldiers to spend an afternoon at the sugar bush.

The Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC) will be offering the Children's Deployment Support Program (CDSP) at your child's school with a NEW ONLINE registration. It's quick, convenient and can easily be done from anywhere!

Parent / Child Drop-In Play N Learn 
The Parent and Child Play N Learn program enable parents, grandparents, caregivers and children from ages birth-6 years old to gather and share the joys and challenges of both caring for and raising children.

Postnatal Group - for parents caring for children birth to 18 months  

• March 5th and 19th, 9:00 - 11:30 am
  South Side Community Centre, 1578 Wolfe Ave., Petawawa
  Free. No registration. 

  A postnatal group offers a great opportunity to meet new friends, to swap birth stories, support each other, learn and share parenting ideas. This is not a playgroup but a support group where we learn new information on topics such as ; breast feeding, colic, teething, crying, nutrition and baby food making. We will have a number of guest speakers talking about various topics.

With your parent or caregiver come play mini-golf, try fishing, have a bean bag tossing challenge, win at bingo, pretend you are in charge of a pizzeria, help pirates and princesses sort their treasures, create Lego patterns, learn funny stories and much more!

Prenatal Nutrition Program 

• Wednesdays: North Side - Roman Catholic Chapel, Petawawa,11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Well Baby Drop-In

• Wednesdays: 1:30 - 3:30 PM
  South Side Community Centre, 1578 Wolfe Ave., Petawawa. Free Drop-In. 

  An opportunity for parents to measure height and weight of your baby/tot, gain support from each other, share experiences, share ideas. A public health nurse is present to discuss: Nutrition & breastfeeding, parenting issues, growth & development. For info contact the Renfrew County and District Health Unit at 613-735-8651.
