Upcoming Missions Trips & Projects
Teen Challenge: This is a
Christ centered, effective drug treatment program. It is changing lives
in a profound way. Scope of work: We need help painting, tiling,
light construction, cleaning, cooking, and most of all smiling. This is a
one day trip; TC centers are located in Oakland
and San Jose.
San Francisco Rescue Mission:
This is a front line opportunity to
reach out to the homeless in the Tenderloin of San Francisco. Scope of work: We
provide hot meals on various holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and
Easter, dispense Christmas gifts to needy families, pass out food, and help to
touch the lives of people who desperately need Christ's love. This is a
one day trip; located in San Francisco.
San Francisco City Academy:
This is a Christian school operating
as part of the SF Rescue Mission.
This school serves the children of the Tenderloin. Scope of work:
Help with the construction of the class rooms, volunteer to teach and tutor and
various other projects as needed. This is a one day trip; located in San Francisco.
Bethany University:
This is a Christian college from
which most of our church staff earned their degrees. Scope of work:
Remodel the dorms which serve as the primary housing for the students including
four students from New
Life Church.
This is a 3-5 day trip located in Santa
Cruz.
Open Arms: This is a
day care center that serves the impoverished children of La Mission, BC, Mexico. Without Open Arms and
a lack of alternatives most of these children would be in an orphanage.
The children are given a hot breakfast and lunch, attend school, and most
importantly experience the love of Christ. Scope of work: Varies;
may include construction to family events. This is usually a 3 or 4 day trip
flying into San Diego, CA
and a quick drive across the border into Mexico.
If
you would like more information on any of the trips, please send an email to nlcoffice@newlifeinfo.com
or note it on your communication and we can get you what you need. The
goal is to give everyone the opportunity to participate in the amazing things
that God has been doing outside of the doors of our church. So please take the time to send a reply and
we will get you set up.
