Registration for 2011-2012 Religious School is now open.  Thank you for your patience while we prepared the new school schedule.  We're very excited about some new classes, new options for scheduling, and about highlighting all of our elective offerings.

A conversation for parents of teens & younger children. Desperation, Tragedy and Victory

Join the Women of NSCI for a fascinating program featuring our own Penny Herbst, who will be discussing her journey to reclaim her family's history, through genealogical and historical research, travel and the process of writing a book about her discoveries.  Don't miss this moving and inspirational program, open to everyone at no charge. Wednesday, July 20, 11:00 am - Adult Mitzvah Corps 

Do you have a couple of hours to volunteer? We will be helping with a Holocaust Survivors' Program at Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation, 303 Dodge, Evanston from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  We will be scooping food from large containers into serving bowls, setting tables, serving hot beverages, light clean-up and talking with the survivors.  If you would like to sign up, contact congregant Tracey Meyers at 847/242-1234.

Soup Kitchen Baking & Lunch Assembly

NSCI's 70 Plus Singles Film Viewing & Discussion  

We will socialize during dinner, view the film together and then discuss it afterwards. Rabbi Mason will lead the discussion. Cost for dinner is $18 per person ($20 for non members) RSVP to Susan Ellenby at 847/835-0724, ext. 632.

Shabbat at the NSCI Beach Alert!

Shabbat @ the NSCI Beach will take place at our regular beach location, however Mother Nature has changed our beachfront landscape!  Our beach entrance and location will be the same as previous years.  (Walk down the driveway on the north side of the building.)  Once you have reached the beach, be prepared for a short walk on the beach, and please wear shoes that you don't mind getting wet.  We hope you will join us for another season of celebrating Shabbat @ the NSCI Beach.

Operation Backpack School Supply Collection

NSCI is again collecting school supplies for the Jordan Community School,where 96% of the student's families cannot afford to buy these essential materials.
