Feature of the Month - Artfelt Yarn Kits
  

If you've ever wanted to try needle felting, these kits are fabulous!

Just in...Susan Anderson's new book, Spud and Chloe At the Farm!  This
read-aloud story book features thirteen projects including a feisty pet sheep, Spud, and his perky owner, Chloe, as well as a variety of other farm animals.  Samples of these adorable creatures are available for viewing at our Point Grey location.

Ooh La La Gauntlets featured on the right, made with one skein each of Cashmere Queen and Kidsilk Haze are very elegant and super soft! The pattern is available in-store.

 

Vogue Knitting Winter 2010/11 magazine features a cushy vintage/modern turtleneck, knit using Be Sweet's Brushed Mohair.  Perfect for those cooler evenings.

For dog-lovers, Knit Your Own Dog, which was recently featured in People magazine, has 25 easy-to-follow patterns for pedigree pooches.  A sample of the pug is available for viewing at our Point Grey location.

Upcoming Events

 

We are pleased to announce that Margaret Radcliffe, a knitter for 45 years, designer for 25, and author of the bestselling Knitting Answer Book and The Essential Guide to Colour Knitting Techniques, will be coming to Vancouver in May.  She will be teaching two classes: Two-Handed Two-Colour Knitting, on Wed., May 25th from 7-8:30 pm;  and, Perfect Your Circular Knitting, on Thurs. May 26th from 1-2:30 pm.  These classes are very popular and space is limited so sign up soon to reserve a spot.  Cost is $35.00.

 

In addition, Margaret will be offering a free book signing event on Friday, May 27th from 7-9 pm.  All events will take place at our Point Grey location.
