Feature of the Month - St. Denis Nordique
St. Denis Nordique is a classic 100% wool yarn available in a wide variety of colours that mix and match beautifully. Made from North American sheep, it is an extremely versatile yarn that is elastic and hardwearing with just enough grab for stranded colour as well as a high affinity for texture.
A collection of 16 patterns that feature this yarn can be found in the premiere issue of St. Denis. Top designers including Jared Flood, Ysolda Teague and Carol Sulcoski have created patterns from sweaters and cardigans to hats and gloves, as well as the adorable dolls Sam and Samira. |

Project Ideas
Schwann is a beautiful light sweater pattern pictured on the right, with flattering lace details, ideal for cool summer evenings. Another favourite is the stunning cardigan, Nidden, perfect for any occasion. Both of these sweaters are knit using Berroco's Linsey and are featured in the Norah Gaughan Collection, Vol. 8.
Looking for a project for a friend or loved one for Valentine's Day? The La-La-Love-You Cowl works a repeating heart lace pattern that can be quickly knit-up using any worsted weight yarn. The pattern suggests Malabrigo worsted, but Rowan's Silk Twist also looks lovely in this cowl.
We have a large selection of patterns for lace scarves, stoles and shawls, including the Snowy Evening Shawl and the Seaside Solace Scarf or Stole using Zephyr Laceweight yarn. Numerous samples are available for viewing at our Point Grey location. |
