Feature of the Month - Habu Textiles
 We are so excited that New York's incredibly creative Takako from Habu Textiles is coming to Canada for the first time. We feel very fortunate that she has agreed to teach four - 45 minute Japanese schematic pattern reading workships at our Point Grey location. She will also bring over 30 kit garments for viewing so you can experience "hands-on", her exquisite creations made from paper, cord, ramie, silk and, believe it or not, stainless steel!
The workshops will be offered on September 28th from 1-2 and 4-5, and September 29th, 12-1 and 3-4. The cost is only $10.00 and there are only 12 seats available per session, so give us a call and reserve a spot! There will also be an opportunity after the workshop to consult with Takako and place orders. |

Upcoming Events
KAFFE FASSETT'S lecture sold out but we managed to obtain 10 more tickets. In addition, BRANDON MABLY'S knit workshop only has 4 spaces left. So, to avoid disappointment, call soon to secure a spot.

Project Ideas
We are a huge fan of Jared Flood. Cinder, his reversible cabled scarf pattern is a perfect knit for fall. Using Ariosa from Classic Elite, this is incredibly warm, cozy, and stylish.
There seems to be no limit to the plethora of tempting creative shawl patterns. The Coquille Shawl, a free download on Ravelry, is beautifully shaped and lends itself to a variety of yarns and colours. We love it in Crystal Palace's Mini Mochi.
Keep your little lamb snug as a bug in the Buga Baby Bunting by Spud and Chloe. Knit in Outer, this pattern is quick and easy, and sure to please! A sample is available for viewing at our Point Grey location. |
