EVS Metal recently announced a new powder coating service available at the company's Central Texas location in Pflugerville. The capability to powder coat products in-house enables EVS Metal to reduce project lead times and save customers money.

Powder coating is the technique of applying a dry, powder-like electromagnetically charged paint to a part or surface, such as metal or hard plastic, then heating it to melt the powder coating onto the product. Used for countless parts, fixtures, products and machines, powder 

coating creates a hard finish that is tougher and more resilient than that of a wet-paint process.

EVS Metal fabricates and assembles custom aluminum, steel and stainless steel parts for the electronics, telecommunications, audio, semiconductor, oil and gas, transportation and medical industries. The Pflugerville location also specializes in complex welded assemblies and frames.

With headquarters in New Jersey, EVS Metal has had a location in Pflugerville since 2001 and recently completed a 12,000-sq.-ft. expansion in early 2010.
