Sign-up for Your Free Risk Review

RiskWhat is a Risk Review?  This is a free service available to clients of Doug Croley Insurance Services.  During the review, an agent will sit down with you and discuss any changes in your personal life or business.  The agent will make sure the information our agency has on file for you is current and that you are properly insured for your specific needs.

Why should I ask for a Risk Review? Because as your life changes, so do your risks.  Your need for insurance may increase or decrease.

What is Risk?  There are many types of risk, but in regards to insurance, we are concerned with the risk of loss.

Is this just a way to sell me more insurance?  No.  Insurance is only a mechanism for handling risk.  Insurance is a way to transfer your risk of loss to a third party.  Insurance may or may not be the best way to handle your risks.  Some people or businesses may be underinsured, while others may not need certain types of insurance anymore.

Will the Risk Review help me save money?  Maybe.  We represent many insurance companies.  The Risk Review will help us determine the right insurance company for you or your business.

How do I receive my FREE Risk Review?  Call us today at 850-386-1922 or email us at dougcroleyins@dougcroleyins.com to schedule an appointment with an agent.

Ask Doug

Question MarkChris R. asks, "Why is it so hard to insure older homes?"

Doug's Answer: "Great question Chris.  It is difficult to insure older homes, especially in Florida, for a number of reasons.  The insurance companies are primarily concerned with the age of the home's roof, plumbing, electric and heating and air conditioning.  Most of the large property claims insurance companies experience come from wind, fire and water from broken pipes.  Remember Flood is an excluded peril on most property policies, including Homeowners policies.  Also, older homes normally do not meet current building codes.  It is very common for insurance companies to require an inspection of the older home before the insurance company will actually insure the home."
