BOMA/Chicago's Joyce Travis Announces Retirement

Joyce

Joyce Travis, BOMA/Chicago's Director of Education, has announced her intention to retire. Her last day with us will be Friday, May 21.

Joyce has been an incredibly valuable contributor to our organization over her 7 ˝ years with us. She has done a phenomenal job of upgrading and professionalizing our educational efforts. She dramatically increased both the quality and quantity of our educational programs, diversified them into new subject matter, and forged important new relationships with other organizations. There is not another BOMA local association anywhere that offers the number and diversity of educational programs that we offer at BOMA/Chicago--and we have Joyce Travis to thank for that.

Prior to her position as Director of Education, Joyce served as BOMA/Chicago's Director of Communications. In that role she was responsible for the first major upgrade of our web site and the conduct of our first economic impact study. Our organization continues to benefit from her work on both of those projects, as well as many others she conducted during her time with us.

Joyce has been a pleasure to work with and a great colleague and friend to all of us at BOMA/Chicago. She will be very difficult to replace, but we wish her all the best in this next phase of her life.

Please plan on joining us for a reception on Thursday, May 20, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at a location to be determined. Watch for further details.
