2010 Trade Show Exhibitor Packet To Be Released This Week!

Attention Affiliate Members: BOMA/Chicago will be sending you an email later this week with the 2010 Trade Show Exhibitor Registration packet. The show will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at The Merchandise Mart. Early-Bird registration booths will be $1,250 per booth. Registration materials will also be available online at www.bomachicago.org.

Governor Quinn's Office has ordered US flags at State occupied buildings to half-staff from sunrise, Wednesday, December 2, 2009 until sunset, Friday, December 4, 2009 in honor of Sgt. Jason McLeod.
Affiliate Breakfast Meeting: Tuesday, December 15 
 
coffeeBOMA/Chicago invites all of its Affiliate Members to attend the All-Affiliate Breakfast meeting on Tuesday, December 15 at Franklin Center (222 West Adams Street, 2nd floor conference center).
 
Breakfast and registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the program will run from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. At this meeting BOMA/Chicago President Maureen Ehrenberg will share details of the new "BID BOMA" campaign and what you can expect to see from your Affiliate membership in 2010.  
 
We will also release our 2010 sponsorship prospectus and answer any questions you have about your Affiliate membership. To RSVP for this complimentary event, please email your name and company name to info@bomachicago.org and include "12/15 Affiliate Breakfast" in the subject line. Please note this meeting will be held in place of the regularly scheduled "First Thursday" December meeting.
2010 Gold Circle Awards Gala to be Held Thursday Evening, January 28 at Palmer House Hilton

Gold CircleThe 2010 Gold Circle Awards Gala--now recognizing individual achievement as well as the TOBY Awards--will be held on the evening of January 28th at the Palmer House Hilton.
 
Registration for this event will open this week. In the meantime, mark your calendar and save the date. 
 
This year, Gold Circle Awards will be awarded to recipients in the following categories:
  • Property Management Professional of the Year
  • Building Engineer of the Year
  • Security Professional of the Year
  • Emerging Leader of the Year
  • Affiliate Member of the Year
  • Board of Directors Award
TOBY Awards will be presented to winners in the following categories:
  • 100,000 - 249,000 Sq. Ft.
  • 250,000 - 499,000 Sq. Ft.
  • 500,000-1 Million Sq. Ft.
  • Over 1 Million Sq. Ft.
  • Government Building
  • Renovated Building
  • Earth Award Building

Emerging Leaders "Toys from the Top" Event: Tuesday, December 8 at Hancock Observatory

Join BOMA/Chicago's Emerging Leaders for "Toys from the Top" on Tuesday, December 8 at the John Hancock Observatory from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy food, cocktails and networking as we celebrate the first full year of our Emerging Leaders Network and thank our sponsors for their contributions this year.
 
This event is limited to BOMA/Chicago members with five years or less experience in the commercial real estate industry.
 
Please help us give back in conjunction with this event by bringing an unwrapped toy for a child between the grades of K-8. The toys will be donated to Horizons for Youth, which provides need-based scholarships, one-on-one mentoring, and enrichment programs to children whose family income is no more than twice the national poverty line. Our goal is to raise 100 toys, one for each child in the program.
