 Learn strategies for managing assets when tenants experience financial troubles. As the continuing credit crisis roils owners and tenants alike, it's important that property professionals stay alert to early warning signs of tenant financial distress and be prepared to intervene early to protect the interests of the building owner. This webinar will address these issues:
- Early warning signs: What should property managers look for, and where?
- Strategies for addressing financial concerns
- Strategic workouts--options for downsizing, relocating, and otherwise working out tenant space needs
- What to do if tenants declare bankruptcy.

Sign Up By Thursday, 11/19 for BOMA/Chicago & Greater Chicago Food Depository Holiday Food Drive
|
 For the second year in a row, BOMA/Chicago and the Greater Chicago Food Depository will partner for a holilday food drive.
Last year's drive included 38 BOMA/Chicago participating buildings and collected 4,531 lbs. of food--enough to provide 3,407 meals to needy Chicagoans. This year's drive is scheduled to run from Monday, November 23 through Friday, December 11.
BOMA/Chicago and the Greater Chicago Food Depository will supply your building with a collection barrel for your lobby and will pick up the collected food. Please consider opening your building's lobby this holiday season for tenants to contribute to this drive.
The current plan is to deliver the food container barrels on Saturday, November 21st and pick them up on Saturday, December 12th.
With the help of BOMA/Chicago's Building Members, Affiliate Members, and the 8,000 businesses housed in member buildings, BOMA/Chicago can make a sizeable difference in the food collection for the Greater Chicago Food Depository this holiday season.

Emerging Leaders "Toys from the Top" Event: Tuesday, December 8 at Hancock Observatory

 Join BOMA/Chicago's Emerging Leaders for "Toys from the Top" on Tuesday, December 8 at the John Hancock Observatory from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy food, cocktails and networking as we celebrate the first full year of our Emerging Leaders Network and thank our sponsors for their contributions this year.
This event is limited to BOMA/Chicago members with five years or less experience in the commercial real estate industry.
Please help us give back in conjunction with this event by bringing an unwrapped toy for a child between the grades of K-8. The toys will be donated to Horizons for Youth, which provides need-based scholarships, one-on-one mentoring, and enrichment programs to children whose family income is no more than twice the national poverty line. Our goal is to raise 100 toys, one for each child in the program.

2010 Gold Circle Awards Gala to be Held Thursday Evening, January 28 at Palmer House Hilton

 The 2010 Gold Circle Awards Gala--now recognizing individual achievement as well as the TOBY Awards--will be held on the evening of January 28th at the Palmer House Hilton.
Registration for this event will open on Monday, November 25th. In the meantime, mark your calendar and save the date.
This year, Gold Circle Awards will be awarded to recipients in the following categories:
