Update from Institutional Outreach
Perhaps you have noticed the movement of dirt on campus, which means that the Bailey Center relocation is going as scheduled. Ground has been leveled for the relocation of five front-line offices on the front side of the campus near Highway 31. The mobile units will be delivered shortly. Over the weekend a new parking lot has begun to take shape to assist with the congestion on the northern part of the campus.
It is an exciting time as we look toward the start of a new year and possibly an increase in enrollment. Given the bleak outlook on funding we need a grassroots effort to increase enrollment for this fall. I challenge you to do what you can personally to invite those in our community to enroll.
Today, we honor our fellow employees, Dave Pylant and Denise Elliott, for their many years of service to the college. Your contributions are too many to name and we will miss you both. Also, the OTA, PTA and Nursing programs will hold pinning ceremonies this week. We wish our graduates every success.
Hang in there all! It won't be long before everyone is nestled into their fall classes.

Student Learning Outcomes/Program Outcomes Assessment
Days are set aside in the Academic Calendar each year to conduct planning and assessment of all programs and services at Wallace State. Planning and Assessment are everyone's responsibilities, and attention to this critically important process is even more important as we complete our Fifth Year Interim Report. All 2008-09 Outcomes Assessments and Unit Action Plans are to be concluded by August 31. All 2009-10 Outcomes Assessments and Unit Action Plans are to have been entered into the SPOL software by August 31 as well and initial assessments of intended outcomes conducted as required. Please contact Mary Mayo for assistance with this very important process.
