ESI Provides A Tour Of Mitigation Sites To University of Florida Students
Recently, ESI employee Ryan Taylor gave a tour of a selection of our mitigation sites to the University of Florida Forest Resource and Conservation students. The course "Forest Operations" is taught by former ESI employee Scott Sager. Mr. Taylor gave nine senior students an overview of wetland mitigation, wetland creation, and enrichment planting.

Meet Richard Scharf
Licensed Soil Scientist and Senior Scientist in ESI's Forestry, Carbon, and GHG Services Division  Mr. Scharf is a soil scientist with over twenty years' experience in a variety of soils-related projects. His expertise includes soil mapping for wastewater disposal, agroforestry, wildlife management, plant habitat, wetland delineations, and carbon offset/methodology validations. His project management experience includes both private and public sector projects in South Carolina, North Carolina, Iowa, Michigan and Connecticut. Mr. Scharf serves as a Senior Scientist and his duties include managing and conducting soils work for onsite and municipal wastewater projects, stormwater projects and wetland delineation as well as providing expertise and experience on carbon offset projects/methodologies associated with agricultural land management and/or soil carbon pools. Mr. Scharf is a North Carolina Licenses Soil Scientist and a South Carolina Registered Soil Classifier.
