Sara Hunt, CSEP and Chair of the International Certification Committee will be hosting a CSEP Brown Bag lunch on Wednesday, October 26th at noon. Come to AT&T Park to discuss the certification process, learn study tips, and get yourself on track to take the next step to advance your career. President's Letter October 2011
 Greetings! Fall has arrived and I'm sure you are all very busy during this time with events. It's the best time of the year and we have some great things coming up. Thank you to all of those who came out to the beautiful Laurent Studios for our September program. It was a huge success. We had a fabulous speaker, Rich Sweeney, join us to speak about creating your sales road map to success. I know I left excited about sales opportunities that lie ahead. From the amazing food of LaBonne Cuisine to the fantastic drinks from Tonic Beverage Company to the sounds of Oye Productions, it was a great program. As part of our theme this year of "Live, Laugh, Learn" we are trying a couple of new things this year. One of the new things we are trying a Networking Happy Hour Mixer. This is a great opportunity to network after work and meet new people. Our first one is being held at Roe Nightclub on October 20th. Click here to sign up. We are also going to hold our first joint meeting with MPINCC on November 15th at Masonic Auditorium in San Francisco. The topic will be "The Big Bang: How to Produce Events with Impact". Stay tuned for more information and when to sign up. This is one program you won't want to miss. Also in October, we will be introducing Brown Bag Lunches to prepare you to take the CSEP. September Meeting Recap
ISES-NCC's 2011-2012 Calendar year is off to a great start if the event on September 20th is any indication. Over 70 members & guests, including Michelle Obama, turned out on a perfect San Francisco day to Laurent Studios. Following a signature cocktail or two courtesy of Tonic Beverage Catering, we got down to business with compelling and informative session by Sales Consultant and Executive Trainer Rich Sweeney. Rich, in his signature energetic communication style, helped us identify how our personal strengths will make us more successful as well as led us on a great discussion of creating a sales process - not just selling. And kudos to Nate at Denon & Doyle for your AV support!
Next guests returned to the stunning main gallery of Laurent Studios and enjoyed a lush and full buffet lunch provided by LaBonne Cuisine Catering and Events while listening to the great sounds of a guitarist generously provided by Oye Productions, sitting at impeccable tables designed by Classic Party Rentals and SoulFlower Floral Design.
