President's Letter July 2011
 Greetings! The gavel has officially been passed, and I can't tell you how excited and honored I am to be the President of ISES-NCC for the 2011-2012 year. First and foremost, I want to thank Morgan Doan for her leadership and dedication over this past year. Secondly, we've got a fantastic new Board of Directors, who are enthusiastic about bringing you some fun, new and informative events this year. My theme for this year's is "Live, Laugh, Learn". My goal is to bring to all of you the same experiences that I have had over the last 8 years through attending meetings, joining committees, networking with industry professionals while laughing, smiling and having a good time through it all. One of my fondest memories over the last 8 years is being part of the gala committee. I met so many new people and learn so much about events. Speaking of the Gala, have you registered yet? This is an event you don't want to miss. Join us at the Bently Reserve on July 19th as you embark on an enchanted evening seen through Grimm's stories. I would like to recognize and congratulate many of our chapter's members who have been nominated for the ISES Esprit Awards. The ISES Esprit Awards is an international competition designed to honor the exceptional achievements of both individuals and organizations from across the ISES membership, representing all facets of events. Please be sure to congratulate our fellow members on their esteemed nominations. Just a couple of things to remember for the month of July: Eventworld 2011 is right around the corner, August 4-6th in St. Louis! Click here for more information and to register.
