Greetings!
It's March and Spring is definitely here. It's also time for our next great ISES-NCC event! Join ISES-NCC on March 15th at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco to experience the World Champion San Francisco Giants celebrations from the special event industry's point of view. Stephen Revetria, Vice President and General Manager of Giants Enterprises, Nikki Rege, Sales Associate with Hartmann Studios, Lee Gregory, Executive Vice President with McCalls Catering and Events and Gordon R. Thompson, LTC USA (Ret.), DMCP, CMP, Chief Operating Officer and Owner of Cappa & Graham will tell us how they made it all happen for the World Champion San Francisco Giants, all of their fans and the City of San Francisco. Please let us know if you are interested in joining the board, chairing a committee or just volunteering to help us plan an event or two. Additional information will be coming out later this month with everything you need to know about chapter elections. Can you believe we are three months away from the end of our ISES 2010-2011 year? Here's a highlight of a few final important dates for the remainder of our year, so be sure to mark your calendar. May 17 - A Day in the Wine Country: Spend a culinary and wine experience day with us at Jacuzzi Winery and Stone Tree Golf Club with Steve Heimoff, the West Coast Editor for Wine Enthusiast. June 21 - Members Only: Let us take care of you at the Press Club with fine wines and delectable culinary treats as we thank you for your continued support and inform you about the state of our chapter. July 19 - Our Annual Gala: This year we're headed to the Bently Reserve to celebrate our 21st anniversary! You are in for another fabulous and stunning gala. Our gala is sure to sell out, so buy your tickets early...more info to come. If you are interested in participating or donating, please contact this year's Gala Chair, Ryann Sims. I hope to see you at all of these events, especially at our next meeting on March 15th! Yours truly, Morgan Doan President, ISES-NCC |

March Meeting
Going Big Fast
Although the tough games and torturous season seemed to take forever, when the Giants won the World Series.....the city had to "GO BIG FAST". Come experience the World Series celebrations from the special event industry's point of view. We'll hear several local professionals speak about everything from the planning process, to the logistics, to the vendor collaborations, and even a few too crazy to be true anecdotes. The Parade, the Galas, the Food, the Transportation - The celebrations were more than enough to keep even the most experienced event professional busy and brought big business to many of our friends and fellow colleagues. Learn how you can get in on the action when the Giants bring it back in 2011! Speakers: Stephen Revetria, San Francisco Giants Nikki Rege, Hartmann Studios Lee Gregory, McCalls Catering Gordon Thompson, Cappa & Graham A special thank you to our March sponsors: Palace Hotel, Napa Valley Linens, Pete Rudolfi Music Agency, Orange Photography This month, ISES-NCC will be supporting the GiveLight Foundation, a non-profit humanitarian relief organization, established in Sunnyvale, CA in January 2005 by Dian Alyan. GiveLight is a world recognized crisis relief organization that seeks to create durable orphanages in response to natural disasters and extreme condition (poverty and war). Please support GiveLight by donating your favorite children's books at our March meeting. Books may be new or used and you may include a note about why you enjoyed the book as a child. Books will be donated to local orphanages and foster cares in the Bay Area.
