Two New Restaurants to Open at AT&T Park
Traci Des Jardins has announced that she will open two new restaurants in March 2010 at AT&T Park. Construction began at the end of December and will convert Des Jardins' and existing restaurant, Acme Chophouse, into two new establishments - Public House and Mijita. Public House is designed to be a year-round destination for great sports watching and will feature one of the largest draft beer and cask ale offerings in San Francisco. Mijita is a taqueria with a Bay Area flavor and will feature Mexican food from Traci's childhood. Both restaurants will offer sit down dining and to-go options, making grabbing food and going to the ballgame, or heading back to the office, quick, easy and delicious!

President's Letter January 2010
 Greetings!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Need help coming up with a New Year's resolution?
Let me see if I can help you out with three great options for you to consider
as you kick off the new year...
1. GET
YOUR NAME OUT THERE! Your first step for this resolution is to register
for our Vendor Showcase on January 19th. Now's your chance to
get your company name out there in front of our members. Register as an
exhibitor or a meeting attendee... JUST BE SURE TO SIGN UP!
2. GET
INVOLVED! Not a member? Act now! Click here
and take advantage of discounted rates during our membership drive. It's
never been easier (or less expensive) to join! Already a member? Sign up for a committee. We can always use talented folks to help us out. Get
involved and start reaping the full benefits of ISES-NCC membership!
3. GET CERTIFIED! Resolve to get started on your CSEP. This year I'll be walking
people through the steps to get certified with the "CSEP Feature" included
in the newsletter. I'm challenging our chapter to get 5 people in the
pipeline before June 2010. Morgan Doan is in...who's with her? Read the CSEP
corner feature below for step one. The first 5 people (that includes you,
Morgan!) who follow step one and send me proof that they sent away for the
CSEP Instruction Manual will get a special prize at the March meeting.
No joke...I'm talking GOOD PRIZES!
My resolution you ask? I resolve to be open to any and all
suggestions that you have for strengthening our chapter. Ideas for educational
sessions or speakers? Cool new Venue we should check out? Send your comments my
way and your ISES-NCC Board will do all we can to make sure your get everything
you need out of your ISES membership.
Cheers to a happy and healthy 2010!

Don't Miss the January Meeting
Biennial Vendor Showcase
Start
the New Year off with a bang by attending one of the best networking
opportunities for 2010. On Tuesday,
January 19th, 2010, join ISES-NCC at the stunning 45,000 square foot
Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, CA for its Biennial Vendor Showcase.
When
you arrive in the morning, you will be treated to 40 of the bay area's top
vendors in the special events industry.
As Denon & Doyle provide upbeat DJ sounds, you'll be able to check
out the product and services each vendor has to provide. You will also have the
opportunity to indulge in mouthwatering hors d'oeuvres and delicious espresso stations provided by Jane Hammond Events and Travlin' Joe.
After
the showcase, guests will be invited for a sit down lunch provided by Checkers
Catering and a presentation called "What Bernie Madoff Couldn't Steal From Me" given by Matt
Weinstein. This presentation is sure to get your business going in the New Year.
Award-winning inspirational speaker Matt
Weinstein was on vacation in Antarctica when
he learned via satellite telephone that he had lost his entire life savings in
the Bernie Madoff scandal. In this highly personal, interactive and
entertaining program, Matt Weinstein recounts the inside story of the highly-secretive
Madoff fund. "But
there is something else I discovered that is much more important," says Matt.
"And that is how to survive life's inevitable downturns with a sense of Basic
Trust, so that you can land on your feet no matter what. Yes, I lost my life
savings in the Bernie Madoff fraud, but there are life-saving survival secrets
that Madoff could never steal from me.
Matt
Weinstein is the nation's foremost authority on the use of fun and humor in
team building. Matt is the founder and "Emperor" of Playfair, Inc., an
international consulting firm based in Berkeley,
California. He was elected to the
Professional Speaker's Hall of Fame by the National Speaker's Association, and
was honored by Successful Meetings Magazine as one of the "21 Top Speakers for
the 21st Century."
Register now to attend this event or to
have your own 10X10 space to showcase your product and services. Take advantage of the opportunity to market
