Recently debuted, Pavilion by the Bay is the newest venue on San Francisco's Treasure Island.  It is a fully-enclosed, state-of-the-art glass and steel structure, with a beautiful French pleated canopy ceiling.  With its floor-to-ceiling glass windows, Pavilion by the Bay boasts stunning views of the Bay Bridge, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island and the entire San Francisco skyline.

Tip of the Month

Work "on" not "in" the business.  Working "in" the business is tantamount to having a job.  Working "on" the business dictates that you do not do what the business does, but drive it forward as a separate entity.

Quote of the Month

"And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people
 permission to do the same."
Nelson Mandela

November Meeting Recap
Professional Responsibility: The Do's and Dont's of Social Media

On Tuesday, November 17th, ISES-NCC held it's meeting at the newly opened Walt Disney Family Museum.  The museum was the perfect setting for networking, fine food and professional development.  Over 120 guests were able to get a sneak peek of what the museum had to offer and get a glimpse of the life of Walt Disney.  As guests entered the lobby, Golden Gate Strings set the tone with music specially arranged for this venue and event while Wolfgang Puck passed delicious hors d'oeuvres and wine donated by One Hope.

After the cocktail hour, guests walked to the Special Exhibition Hall where they were greeted by beautifully dressed tables courtesy of Blue Water Party Rentals and adorned with fall botanicals by Ornamento Fine Flowers and Events.  During lunch, prepared by Wolfgang Puck, guests were treated to a presentation about social media.  Jim Delaney, from Boston based Activate Sports and Entertainment, spoke about the do's and don'ts of social media with a little help from Walt Disney himself.  Guests learned how they can take their business to the next step with the media that is currently out there.

Thank you to our generous sponsors for supporting this event: The Walt Disney Family Museum, Wolfgang Puck Catering, Blue Water Party Rentals, James Brian Fidelibus , Got Light, Total Success, One Hope, Innovative Entertainment, Golden Gate Strings, Oranamento Fine Flowers and Events.
