A few years ago, a secular media reporter covering the parade remarked that it was the first time they realized that Christians were such happy people.
There's a joy the goes beyond our understanding. That joy unspeakable and full of the glory of God. The kind of joy that every human being is looking for. THE JOY OF THE LORD. On Saturday, September 19th let us allow that joy to spread throughout the streets of downtown Toronto. |

All personalized T-SHIRT ORDERS need to be sent in by this Friday Sept 11 in order to have them ready by Tuesday Sept 15. T-shirts will also be available for sale at Queen's Park on the day of the parade. |
We are looking for a new costumes coordinator for the 2010 parade. If you are interested in this position contact the Festival Office at 416-497-1768.
Maureen Emanuel has managed the Festival of Praise costumes department for the past 9 years. This year she will train a new coordinator. We would ask that those who are interested, join the costumes team on Saturday, September 19 so they can get a feel of what's required.
Costumes Coordinator Job Description:
- Put together a costumes team to assist with wardrobe & make up
- Organize storage, upkeep and increase of costumes
- Recruit volunteers to wear costumes
- Arrange transportation of costumes to parade location

PRAYER ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE |
| If you missed last night's prayer walk, you can walk the parade route anytime along Bloor, Yonge & College Street leading up to September 19. We recommend that at least two people walk together. Please refrain from handing out any literature and please keep to the sidewalks. Everyday from now until the parade day, various prayer teams will be walking the route at different times throughout the day.
Prayer List: lives changed, city changed, protection for all participants, excellence in floats, music and worship, miracles and healings, beautiful weather, strength for all volunteers.

NEXT PARADE MEETING Tues, Sept 15 at 7:30PM |
| There will be a PARADE MEETING on TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15 at 7:30 pm in Room 402 at the Canada Christian College located at 50 Gervais Drive, Toronto.
If your church or organization is entering a float with a flatbed trailer for the first time, a representative should be present at the meeting to receive instructions on float construction and safety.
There will also be a briefing for all volunteer security marshalls.
T-shirts will be available.

Dear Pastor,
As we approach the 10th Annual Jesus in the City Parade we are asking churches, networks and organizations to announce the parade at their services and events for the next few weeks leading up to Saturday, September 19, 2009 encouraging their congregants to come out and worship on the streets of downtown Toronto. Whether your church has registered to be in the parade or not the event is free to the public and individuals can follow along.
