Dear friends and fans of Every Child,

It's been a busy summer for Every Child, and it's already the back-to-school season again! I'm writing to thank you for your continued support and to share some recent updates.

Donor Tour First donor tour to Rwanda!
In June, we took a group of committed fundraisers and volunteers to Rwanda. The group visited our partner schools, volunteered at a teacher training college, met with education leaders, and trekked to see the world famous mountain gorillas! Are you interested in traveling to Africa with Every Child? Let us know! We're planning another trip for 2013.

Amani
Meet Amani, 8th grade super star.
Amani is a graduate of Nyacyonga Elementary School, one of Every Child's partner schools. We are sponsoring Amani's junior and senior high school education. She is incredibly smart. (She plans to be a doctor when she grows up.) And she is super spunky! (When we asked her if soda was served in the school cafeteria, she quipped, "That would take a miracle!") Amani is a talented young woman with a very bright future who wouldn't be in school without YOU. Thank you!
6th Grade Smiles Buying school supplies?
Are you stocking up on school supplies? Throw some in your cart for Every Child, too! You can support us at any level: $300 funds a year of high school in Rwanda, $100 pays for a year of school in Burundi, $75 buys a mattress (secondary schools in Rwanda and Burundi are boarding schools & the students have to bring their own mattresses!), $50 means a knapsack full of school supplies, and $30 provides a school uniform. Click here to donate!

Thanks for your ongoing support. And have a healthy, happy school year!

With gratitude,

Elizabeth Powley
