These incredible wild animals are safe for petting and pampering because they are crocheted! Hard to believe, but UK artist Shauna Richardson crochets these life-size beasts using a 3mm hook and free-form crochet techniques. Using coarse wools, mohair mixes, glass eyes and reproduction claws she calls her creations Crochetdermy™, a very good description of the lifelike creatures. 
Working for several months on each sculpture, she uses a single crochet stitch throughout and varies her direction and patterning to highlight the anatomical features on each of these fantastic animals.
