Each set contains three DVDs with 13 episodes of the second season of the Emmy nominated PBS show Knit & Crochet Today along with 26 patterns for all the projects shown.
The two-part box set introduces the fun of knitting through a story about how a sister and brother(!) learn to knit. Younger children will love having the story read to them; older kids will enjoy reading and learning independently.
We're taking a cue from "Martha Stewart Living" for this last minute idea. In the December issue she featured "No-knit Sensations" using a small loom that makes flowers by wrapping yarn around pegs. The tool featured in the magazine cost $20! It reminded us of the Bloom Loom, a tool that's been around forever, only costs $3.99 and makes single or double flowers. Compare the flowers we made with the ones in the magazine and we think you'll agree, the Bloom Loom is a bargain.
