Mosaic by Moonlight - August 5 - Giovanni's - 6:00p.m.-9:00p.m. - Enjoy live music by the Dean Moriarty Jazz Band as you sample 15 local restaurants' signature martini and appetizer! First Friday - August 6 - Downtown Rockford - First Fridays is an ongoing monthly series of downtown art gallery shows
known collectively as First Fridays. Each month downtown art galleries,
shops and music venues work together to stay open late providing great
new art, music and goods. This month's participating sites include: The
Prairie Street Gallery, Kortman Gallery, Pirate Ninja Print Shop,
Wallblank, Kryptonite Music Lounge, Irish Rose Saloon, Octane
InterLounge, Tom Littrell Studios, Plush & Scratch, Fuzion Studios,
Swank Boutique & Gallery and Bliss Beauty Lounge. Information and
maps will be available at all of the locations.
Mayor's Business Luncheon - August 12 - Giovanni's - 1:30a.m.-1:00p.m.- Rockford
Mayor Lawrence J. Morrissey will address the chamber business community
on the priorities for the City of Rockford. Come learn firsthand from
the Mayor regarding his education priorities, downtown development,
economic development, and addressing the City's pressing budget
concerns. The Mayor will share his vision for Rockford and update the
audience as to some of the success stories being accomplished for our
