Become a Fitness Resolutionary!
Did you know that over 75% of the people who make fitness resolutions have dropped out by March 1st? Are you one of them? Whether you are or not, could you benefit from a program that focuses specifically on making sure you fulfill your fitness resolution? If you would like to be an "X Gym Resolutionary," you can sign up for this program if you are an Alki or Kirkland X Gym member! All resolutionaries will be able to attend small group sessions to learn many of PJ's brain training techniques, as well as seminars (with outside experts too), support meetings, and more.
The best news is, joining the group is free for current Alki and Kirkland X Gym members! Some of the seminars may have a nominal charge, but you can of course pick and choose which ones interest you.
PJ decided to replace the annual Biggest Loser contest with something a little more practical and permanent this year, and unleash it at a time when most people are struggling, but still want to see their resolution through (and get ready for their spring wardrobe).
Stay tuned for more details, but for now, let PJ know if you would like to join this group by sending him an email through pj@xgym.com.
Come Join the Party and Support a Great Cause!
The Celtic Swell on Alki is donating a wonderful Irish dinner and dessert buffet for a fund raising party this Sunday, March 6th, from 2-5 pm. This means that 100% of your suggested $20 donation goes to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!. Space is limited however, so please RSVP to pj@xgym.com so there will be plenty of food for all!
Train Your Brain Today
Remember that joining the "Resolutionaries" group is the best opportunity to rewire your brain
in the shortest amount of time. Be sure to let PJ know today if you are interested!
But for now, here's something to try. Every time you crave a food you know is bad for you, take a mental picture of it and fade the colors, texture and resolution in your mind's eye. Then imagine it farther away and more distant. Do the opposite with the food you want to start eating more often. I'll tell you why this works in the next issue...
