Holiday Advice For You and Yours.
The nice folks at sceneroom.com made a holiday advice video for us. It offers ideas on "holiday feast" eating as well as what to do to break the pattern of weight gain between those big meals. Click here to see it and remember to pass it on to your friends and family for their benefit as well. Be forewarned however, it's kind of dorky (on purpose - see frame capture left), so it might need some explaining...
So Far, I Only Have to Climb the 56 Story WAMU Tower Twice!C'mon! Make we work! If you donate by tomorrow, you can get in on the scheme to make me run up the Wamu tower over and over and over. For every $1,000 raised, I will climb the 56 story WAMU tower once (up to 7 times).
Click here to donate and then enter my name to find me. Even $5 makes a difference for this great cause!
Do You Have Trouble Explaining the X Gym Workout to Others?Me too! It's so unique and complex, it just can't be explained with words. Now you will have a new tool that will help those people "get it." The X Gym workout DVD will show them what you mean! It should be available next week if the printers are on time! Thanks so much to
tellitproductions.com for all their great work in shooting, editing, and producing this fantastic DVD!
Train Your Brain Did you
click here to be disgusted and amused for the brain training exercise in the last newsletter? Linking associations in your brain is a powerful tool to rewiring your thought patterns and cravings. Have you noticed that a food becomes unappealing after you have had food poisoning? That is a good demonstration of how powerful this technique can be!
For your brain training suggestion in this issue, try
content scrambling. The holiday season often brings with it family issues and personality combinations that trigger undesirable eating patterns. To short-circuit this cycle, give that "loved one" or "ex" a different voice in your brain. Train yourself to hear them as a smurf, cartoon, or other funny character. You can use this technique for past experiences and memories too. More on how this works in the next issue...
