X Gym Smokes the Sears Tower Climb!
The X Gym was well represented by the Crossman brothers (pictured lower left with me) who placed 9th and 11th overall out of 1,800 racers last Sunday. They also won 3rd and 4th in their division up the 103 story climb in Chicago. I did pretty well too, with a 4th place finish in my division. This event is the most competitive climb in the country as well as the tallest in the world. For more details, click here.
How Many Times Would You Like to See Me Climb Wamu? Can you make me run up the Wamu tower 7 times? I know it's a corny fund raising stunt, but for every $1,000 the X Gym raises, I will climb the WAMU tower once (up to 7 times). If we raise $5,000 I'll climb it 5 times. $7,000 means 7 times!
Click here to donate and then type in my name to find me. Even $5 makes a difference for this great cause!

Train Your Brain Did you use your smile to burn your belly fat? If you missed the last newsletter on this topic, just click the "Newsletter Archives" link in the upper left "Quick Links" box. Smiling causes anabolic hormones and metabolic chemicals to be released that stoke your fat burning furnace! Even a fake smile works, because that results in a cascade of positive emotions eventually. Additionally, your subconscious really doesn't know the difference between a fake smile and a real smile, and since it is the one in control of your hormone and chemical release processes, you still get the benefit no matter what mood you are in.
For your next suggestion, pick a color to focus on the next time you have a craving for something you shouldn't be eating. How intense is the craving? If you could associate a color to it, what would that color be? Now gradually turn that color into blue, and then think of the different hues of blue. More on why this helps in the next issue...
