1.)
Alcohol. Yes, alcohol is a food. Any edible liquid or solid that has calories is a food. Alcohol just so happens to be the #1 fat storing champ of all foods. I'm not saying to stop drinking it, I'm just saying that when you do, it immediately takes you out of fat burning mode and puts you in fat storing mode, so moderation and timing is crucial.
2.)
High Fructose Corn Syrup. Here's an idea: take a barely edible food (corn) and strip out what little nutritional value it does have. Next, pump it through a lab and turbo infuse it with more of the sugar (fructose) that turns into fat faster than any other sugar. Then put it in just about every processed food on the planet and see how many people get obese from it. Whether they knew it or not, that's exactly what happened when they made HFCS!
3.)
Sugar. This category ranges from table sugar, to pasta, to flour and more. Any high glycemic carbohydrate or starch is considered sugar as far as the body is concerned. Sugar makes you age prematurely, clogs up your cells and organs, depresses your immune system, and even makes you wrinkly! Oh yeah, and it's also the preferred fuel for cancer cells.

Brain Training: Remember my suggestion last week to say the word "Cancel" out loud, and throw your hands down to your sides and behind you every time you have a thought of despair? Then did you say to yourself "It will be interesting to see how I get through this?" How did it go? Did you see ways out that you wouldn't have seen otherwise?
Here's one to try this week: Warm your hands with your brain. Visualize putting your hands in warm sand, holding a hot coffee mug, holding a warm puppy, or any other situation that would make your hands warmer. I'll tell you why this is a useful skill in the next newsletter. It's so cool (or warm actually)!
