X Gym Biggest Losers Flush the Fat! Camille won the grand prize for X Gym women with a 48% change in body fat percentage, and Chris won it for the men with a 39% change. Camille dropped pure fat (instead of muscle and fat like conventional weight loss), and Chris actually gained muscle as he lost fat. According to traditional training, this isn't supposed to be possible! Ha! Proving the "others" wrong again! Corrie won the Biggest Loser's Loser's Bracket (BLLB) for women with a 25% change, and Chris R. won the BLLB for men with a 30% change. The BLLB is the bracket for those who got knocked out of a previous round. This bracket allows a second chance so all contestants are always in the contest to the end. As you may know, the Belltown club is now separately owned and operated, so they may be announcing their Biggest Loser winners soon (the winners announced in this newsletter were between the Alki and Kirkland clubs). First X Gym DVD Coming Soon! We just finished shooting our first X Gym exercise DVD and it's already in production! This will be available in time for the holidays, and includes easy exercises to do at home or even in a hotel room with no equipment needed. It will be perfect for busy people, traveling executives, your friends and family who are too far away to join an X Gym, and even yourself to take on your next trip! Brain Training: Remember the suggestion in the last newsletter to make failure your friend? How did it go? Since this is pretty much the X Gym theme, it will surely help you there, but keep using it to learn from your other failures so you are continuously improving in those areas of your life as well! Your brain training suggestion for this week is to break a physical pattern you have by changing the location of an item you eat often (one that you would like to stop eating). If it's the cookie jar, move it to a different spot in the room. If it's some crackers or chips, put them in the garage instead of the cupboard. This pattern interrupt will keep you from "autopilot" eating and may be enough to break that habit.
