NPN CONGRATULATES CHRIS FOSTER ON HIS 4TH CONSECUTIVE WIN OF THE SAN DIEGO INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON. Chris Foster led an incredible race to the finish line this past Saturday. Says Chris, "Over the years, the San Diego Tri has become one of my favorite races on the calendar for a few reasons:  the short swim, hard bike, and long run suits my strengths; the atmosphere in San Diego is so laid back, but the competition comes out when the gun goes off; and it certainly helps that I've won three years in a row!" LOSE WEIGHT AND IMPROVE ENERGY WITH NPN L-CARNITINE
L-Carnitine is a naturally occurring amino acid and is great for a short-term workout or cardio exercise. The liquid form of NPN's ultra-pure L-Carnitine creates energy by allowing fat to be synthesized at a lower level. This can help everyone, especially casual or older athletes, enjoy their workout more and will directly enhance fat metabolism to help you lose weight. MORE.

BENEFITS OF DECREASING DAIRY
Dairy is high in saturated fat, sodium, and simple sugars-lactose and maltose.  Because we want you to 'save' your carbohydrates for higher fiber, more complex sources like fruits, vegetables, and grains, and because of the added hormones and health problems due to dairy-lactose intolerance and increased mucous production, it should be eliminated and calcium supplemented. A good substitute for milk is low fat soy milk. MORE.

KEEP YOUR KIDS HEALTHY
While your children are out of school, make sure you keep them healthy. Cut down on the sodas and save ice cream, cakes and sweets for special occasions and not for every day treats! Provide them with lots of water and frequent healthy snacks like frozen bananas and other fruits, rice cakes topped with low calorie jam, home-made trail mix, and a warm pita with hummus. You want to avoid heavy amounts of carbohydrates for snacks and stick to fruits, vegetables and some fats (all nuts) to keep their metabolism going throughout the day. Have an enjoyable summer!
