Bone Island Grill at Crooked Creek Marina Closing

It is often said that the three most important things in determining the success of a restaurant are location, location and location. When we decided to open the Bone Island Grill at Crooked Creek Marina, we knew that being located far from a main highway was going to present a big challenge. For three years, we have fought a good battle. However, in the end, the location has proven to be too big of an obstacle for the restaurant to overcome. We have made the decision to close the Bone Island Grill at the Crooked Creek Marina location effective October 17, 2011.

We are sensitive to the void that will be left at Crooked Creek Marina and are contemplating various options for the marina restaurant next spring.

Please know that Crooked Creek Marina's support for the Lake Country Freedom Festival will continue. Join us on the 4th of July for the Freedom Festival along with the fireworks show honoring our troops.

As the Bone Island Grill leaves Crooked Creek Marina, we do so with the belief that we will someday return to Lake Sinclair, even if it has to be at a different location. In the meantime, we hope you will visit the Bone Island Grill at our new location in Eatonton on Lake Oconee. The restaurant is scheduled to open in early 2012.

We would like to thank each and every one of you, our guests, for your dedication, loyalty and support over the years. As the Bone Island Grill concept moves forward, we hope you will all be proud to say that you were there and played an instrumental role in the development of the Bone Island Grill when it all started in a wonderful community on beautiful Lake Sinclair.

Warmest regards,

Mike and John Jansen
