We're back! It has been some time since the last Informer, and we'll do our best to update you with everything that has been going on near and abroad!
First and foremost, our new website is live. We've spent the first few months of 2012 redesigning the site to be easier to use, to look better, and deliver the best Ural content-from photos and specs to FAQ and photos-and we hope you like it! Over the next few months we'll continue to add new content and categories to the site. We'll be featuring project bikes from all over the world and showcasing all of our past limited edition models. We've also built a blog, so be sure to check it out.

Additionally, If you read our last press release from January, sales grew again. We finished 2011 up 39% from 2010. So before we proceed, let us say thank you. Everyone reading this has helped in some way, great or small, to contribute to our success and we owe each and every one of you a heartfelt thank you. Perhaps you'll attend our 2012 Ural Rally Day, and if you do, we'll do our best to say thanks in person!
Finally for all of you who have been asking, the 2012 Catalog is currently in production! We expect to have a digital version available for everyone to read in the coming weeks. The print version, which will be available at dealers, and via mail upon request, should be ready by the end of the month. Thank you all for being so patient.

A Visit to the Factory

In July of 2011 Wes Siler from www.hellforleathermagazine.com rolled a 2011 Ural Gear-Up and snapped his wrist. Months later, once the injuries had healed, IMWA invited him to Irbit. We wanted Wes to get back on a Ural and to see the factory firsthand.
What came of the visit was a great look at a factory few get to see, and Wes' Ural experience coming full circle with him getting back on one our bikes and having a blas in the Siberian snow. Wired picked up the article and exposed a new audience to our wonderful sidecar motorcycles!

Ural & The Adventurists
Experience a Race Like No Other-The Coldest Race in the World!

Traditional? Never. The Adventurists go out of their way to host events and races that blast tradition and subject their entrants to the hard, the bizarre, and often the unbearable.
The Ice Run was a 2,500km dash across the very frozen Siberian wilderness Ural sidecar motorcycles and it ended in the only town in the world which can can be found in the Arctic Circle. 11 teams competed, and the results and stories can be found at the Adventurists website here:

Superstar!
Brad Pitt showed up in January with a Ural Tourist and it made news anywhere star-obsessed people get their news.
The point isn't that Brad Pitt bought a Ural, but that Brad Pitt just told millions of people that Urals make great vehicles for errands, for taking the kids out, and for doing all kinds of normal things people usually do with cars (or SUVs). Great stuff, we owe him a beer for that.
