Welcome to this issue of the "Irbit Informer"!
This informal publication is designed to keep you, the Ural customer, stay informed about what's happening with us here at Irbit MotorWorks Of America (Redmond, USA), at the factory in Irbit, Russia and with Urals in general. Things are happening with the company at a much faster than typical Ural speed, so watch for your issue and stay "Informed".

Dear Friends,

In case you've been wondering what happened to the Informer in the last few months... well, we'll just say it's been put on hold... and no, we won't blame it on the government or the weather... :-)

It has been very very busy here at the Little Irbit with sales and everything that goes with it.

The factory has been extremely busy too, turning out these so wildly popular Gobi's and Oranges! :-)

Yes, sales continue to grow. We are up 42% for the first half of the year and we owe it to you, our incredible supporters and enthusiasts on the ground! Thank you.

We've got so much news to share, that it's hard to fit all in one issue. So we decided to keep it rather short this time with more updates to come in the following issues.

Please note, we are daily on Facebook and it is the fastest way to stay up to speed on all things Ural.

And to the important announcements now...

This November, the IMZ factory will be celebrating its 70th anniversary and we invite everybody to start celebrating by taking part in the First Ural Rally Day!

Mark your calendar for the Ural Rally Day on September 10th, 2011

Like anything Ural, this Rally is a bit unusual, and of course will be a total blast. :-)

It takes place EVERYWHERE!

This Rally is for everyone to do something fun together no matter where you are.

So here's the scoop:

On September 10, everyone goes on a ride and here's all you need to do:

Sign Up - just click for the Registration Form.
Print out your Rally Packet.
Plan the route for your rally ride - as short or long as you want. Check here for hints and resources on planning your rally ride.
On September 10, 2011 - RIDE! Record your bonus points on your Rally Log.
Come back to the rally website to enter your finishing points and mileage

The top finishers and winners of the drawings will be announced on the Rally website and in the next Informer.

You might want to organize a group to ride together with your local Uralistas or join one of the groups that are already registered here

A great thing about this rally is that it can be attended EVERYWHERE - it has no borders and EVERYONE can do it.

There is no cost. No obligation. All you need to do is just ride.
