Take a Hike Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in West Hills hosted a Take a Hike in May. They had 23 hikers that hiked 3 miles, ages 8 - 80 and they
raised over $1,000 for camp!
Take a Hike is a simple fundraiser that you and your church can do to help camp. Your church decides to host a "Take a Hike". We have a checklist for you
to use as a guideline in your planning. We have flyers, bulletin
inserts, etc... below to help with your publicity needs.

Goodbye and Hello  This
past month we said goodbye to Anthony Briggs, LRCC's Executive Director for 5
years. Anthony has been a blessing to LRCC, he will be missed. He
is off to find a new adventure in his life and we wish him God's
blessings.
We also said goodbye to Michelle Meulemans who has been with LRCC for three
years. Michelle spent the last two years as the Program Director at El Camino
Pines. On May 22 she married Sam Campeau, the Youth Minister
at Westlake Lutheran Church. We wish all the best to Michelle and Sam in
their new life. Michelle's energy and love for God will be missed at camp
but we know that she'll be back, especially married to a Youth Minister!
 Matt Kufeld has joined the administrative staff of LRCC as the Program Director
at El Camino Pines. He has worked the past three summers as a counselor,
leadership staff and Summer Program Director. Matt
graduated this May from California Lutheran University with a B.A. in
Communication. He enjoys sports of any kind, print journalism and
learning. Matt has a passion for camping and teaching and hopes to use
his gifts to build the ministry at El Camino Pines. He can be reached at Matt@LRCChome.com or 661-245-3519.
