Greetings!
 | | Carl D. Bradley |
Happy New Year! I hope 2012 will be a great year for everyone.
Last July, Kenny, Brian and I traveled to Manistique MI to dive the wreck of the Carl D. Bradley. It's the second-largest wreck in the Great Lakes and sits upright on the bottom. The bow and stern sections are intact with the only damage to the cargo area near the stern where the ship broke up. Here's a link to a short, 6-minute video from our three dives: Diving the Wreck of the Bradley We are recycling our training/rental equipment after only one season. So, this is an opportunity to purchase nearly new gear at a highly discounted price. If you're in the market, check out this flyer with all the details: Rental Equipment Sale Tell your friends and relatives about this: we are now agents for both United Vacations and Delta Vacations. We can book your trip virtually anywhere in the world and it doesn't have to be a dive trip at all. We have over 25 years of experience with booking travel so we can assure you that you'll have a great trip with all the details taken care of properly. And we can probably set up your trip for less money and certainly less hassle than if you do it yourself online. For information, call and request a catalog of the world-wide destinations available through these networks.
We're looking forward to another great year of diving. Check out the travel calendar for 2012 and you'll see there are many opportunities to get wet. We start out the year with an ice dive on January and then go to Bonaire in February. See you in the water. Ron Johns Heartland Scuba Center 308-237-7943/800-344-DIVE |

Ice Diver Class
January 29, 2012 |
 | | Sandy Channel January 2011 |
.
We're holding our annual Ice Diver Class on January 29, 2012 at Sandy Channel (if we have ice then--its 54 degrees today.)
The class consists of a classroom session followed by two dives under the ice. We'll show you all the safety procedures to make these dives safely. Each diver will be a diver, a line tender, and a backup diver--all the roles necessary to make a safe ice dive.
If you want to participate in this exciting class, just call or email to let us know. This class requires a lot of staff, so we have to have them lined up ahead of time.

Bonne Terre Mine
March 23-25, 2012 |
We're headed back to Bonne Terre in March. This is a unique dive location that National Geographic rated as one of the top ten adventures in the United States. We've been there many times and never tire of it.
With this trip we have to know ahead of time, so don't procrastinate and miss your opportunity.
