Our twenty-second annual Treasure Dive was a big success.  I haven't done the final tally yet, but I'm confident that we will have a good donation for the Divers Alert Network.  I'll follow up with the details when I get everything finalized.  It was a great turnout.  Thanks to everyone who came out and supported a good cause.
Our last Rescue Diver class of the season is coming up on the 24th and 25th of this month.  If you want to do it, don't miss this opportunity.  The next one, in April, isn't nearly as much fun because of the water temperature.
Also, we still have two fun local trips coming up this month and next month.  Hop on one or both and have some fun.

  See you in the water!

Diving's been awesome.  Our trip to Isle Royale was fantastic--good weather really helps out.  We had some great dives on the Kamloops, Congdon, Emporer, Monarch, America, Chisholm. Cumberland.  Ask anyone who's been there--this is some of the best shipwreck diving in the world.

Next, Brian, Kenny and I traveled to Manistique, MI to dive on the wreck of the Carl D. Bradley.  Brian and I had been there two years ago, but this was Kenny's first trip.  The Bradley is the second-largest shipwreck in the Great Lakes--only the Fitzgerald is larger.  The Bradley is 623 feet long and sits upright on the bottom, intact except for the break forward of the stern in the cargo hold area.  We got three dives, ranging from 290 to 350 feet.  We got blown out the last day, just like two years ago.  I've got some awesome video that I'll share with you when I get it up on You Tube.

Two weeks later, Tom and I traveled to Guadalupe Island off the west coast of the Baja to dive with Great White Sharks.  Even though I've dived with lots of sharks all over the world, this was the most awesome shark experience ever!  The sheer size, power and grace of these animals is impossible to describe in words, especially when they're close enough to reach out and touch.  Got some great video here, too, that I'll share later.  The trip wasn't easy.  We endured 20-21 hours of heavy seas both ways from Ensenada to Guadalupe Island (187 miles) .

While we were in Mexico, Brian escorted a group to Lake Oahe for a spearfishing trip.  Word is, that the fish were everywhere and that everyone had a great time.  Congratulations to Lisa (only lady on the trip) for shooting the biggest Walleye.

Blue Water Lake

Don't forget about this fun, inexpensive trip.  Oronogo's a great place to do some additional training, or just dive for fun.  It's a great place for the Deep Diver class, especially, since we can get down to 130 feet there.  A twin-engine airplane and a cabin cruiser provide some good wreck diving.

We already have several people signed up, so join us for a fun trip.
Just mail or stop in with your $50 trip fee to reserve your spot.  We have the hotel rooms reserved and we'll handle all the details.

We still have plenty of room for more on the Blue Hole trip in October.  Again, it's a great place for training with clear, warm water.  And we'll have some of the best Mexican food there is.

Bonaire Sunset

Our trip to Bonaire is full, but we can still add on.  We have three airfares reserved that aren't being used, so all we have to do is add on a room.  If you'd like to go, don't procrastinate--it will get harder and harder to add on to the trip.
