Adventure News from Heartland Scuba CenterMarch 2011
Greetings!

Sandy Channel

Spring is just around the corner.  Before you know it, Sandy Channel will look like the photo above.  If you haven't been wet for a while, we have some great opportunities coming up.  Check out the information below on our upcoming Bonne Terre and Blue Water Lake trips, both to Missouri.  Also, we'll be going to the Blue Hole in New Mexico in May, then to Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas in June.  So, dust off that equipment and let's get out and dive.

If you travel by air at any time, you need to check out this Ray Stevens music video entitled "The Skies Just Ain't Friendly Anymore".  This will help you get through the next security checkpoint with a sense of humor--they'll wonder what you're smiling about:

One of the new products we saw at DEMA was the GEM semi-closed circuit rebreather meant to be used by recreational divers.

Here's a video that shows it and explains it:

See you soon in the water!

Bonne Terre Mine

Bonne Terre Dock

Join us for our next trip down to Bonne Terre MO for a unique dive site that will leave you speechless!  We travel there at least once each year and have done so for many years.

We have plenty of room right now, but time is getting short, so you'll need to get your spot reserved.

Blue Water Lake
April 22-24, 2011

Blue Water Lake

Our trips to Blue Water Lake at Oronogo MO are always a lot of fun.  Also, they're very inexpensive--not a bad deal.  This is a great place to do a Deep Diver or Wreck Diver class without traveling long distances at great expense.  Or, it's just a fun place dive to dive that's totally different from anything locally.  That means that it's a great place to just gain experience diving in a different environment--and that makes you a better diver.

Nautilus Lifeline

Nautilus Lifeline

The Nautilus Lifeline is the most significant advance in diver safety that has come along in many years.  I saw this at the DEMA Show last November and immediately submitted an order for six of them.

For information on what it does and how it works, follow this link to a video:

The best part is that they sell for only $299!  We should be getting our shipment sometime in March, so call today and reserve one with a small deposit.

If you have any questions, please call.

Vindicator Valve Handwheel

Another new product we saw at DEMA was the Vindicator Valve Handwheel.  It provides an easy, visual way to see if your tank valve is turned on or off.  For a video that shows how it works, click on this link:
