As our fiscal year draws to a close on June 30th, we wanted to let you, our supporters, know that we have officially achieved our fundraising goals! It wasn't easy. The current economic environment called for some belt tightening and sacrifice, but thanks to you, Casa Myrna is as strong as ever. We are very grateful for your continued belief in our work and look forward to updating you as we move confidently into FY2013.

LEGAL ADVOCACY PROGRAM KEEPS MOM AND SON SAFE

ANNUAL BREAKFAST RAISES $78,000 WITH ALL-MALE SPEAKING PROGRAM

Our 3rd Annual Community of Conscience Breakfast was a huge success, featuring an all male speaking program with a keynote address from Dr. Angelo McClain, Commissioner of the Department of Children and Families and a showstopping speech from Ernest, a 15-year old student who reflected on the year and a half he and his mother spent at Casa Myrna. SPRING SHOUT OUTS

Congratulations to Katharine Milton, Staff Attorney for being named an "Up and Coming Lawyer" by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. Katie was recognized for her excellent work on behalf of survivors of domestic violence.

A MASSIVE thanks to Amy VanHeuverzwyn, Kerry Tipper, Amy Pepe, and Casa Myrna Board Member Anne Giovanoni for going an extra 26.2 miles! These amazing ladies ran one of the hottest Boston Marathons in recent memory and raised over $23,000 for our programs. We are also grateful to the John Hancock Non-Profit Marathon Program for providing us with four marathon bibs.

Thanks to the Body Shop at Downtown Crossing, Bath and Body Works at Copley Place, and Sherrie Cox, Mary Kay Beauty Consultant, for helping us mark Mother's Day with donations of gifts for our moms.
