Every morning with the rising sun, Steven Adams walks along the biodynamic nettle plants on Chrysalis Farm spraying them with a finely potentized iron spray. When we asked Steven to grow this special nettle preparation his eyes lit up and he told us about his long-standing appreciation of the nettle plants that grew around his farm. He felt a special connection with these plants and embraced the opportunity to work with them in a new way. Since then he's been amazed at how the plants treated with a finely potentized iron spray retain their vitality and dark green color.
This potentized spray is just one of many special processes that go into the making of True Botanica supplements, and people like Steven Adams and Marcia Halligan of Chrysalis Farm are part of the growing circle of friends who make this possible.
Steven and Marcia have created a true "farm organism" that is uniquely biodynamic. Working with the rhythms of the day, seasons, and stars, they grow foods and medicinal plants full of healing qualities on one of the oldest biodynamic farms in the Viroqua area. They've also recently completed construction of a new home as part of their natural landscape, built from invasive or diseased whole trees harvested on their property.
Building relationships is an important part of our work at True Botanica--relationships with the plants and minerals that go into the making of our medicines, and with our growers, farmers, and coworkers all come together to bring dynamic qualities and healing benefits to True Botanica products.
We warmly thank Steven and Marcia for all their work, and the opportunity to introduce them to you this month as True Botanica's True Friends™.
