How Do Lasers Work? |

The energy model of healing dates back to some of the earliest research in cellular biology accomplished in the 1900's by scientists such as Frohlich, Einstein and Oschman.
It is nothing new to us that the harmonious coordination with which the human body operates is nothing short of miraculous. The most noticeable example of this coordinated effort would be when a competitive athlete is at the very peak of their performance and you can almost imagine how every tissue, cell and molecule must be vibrating together in perfect harmony.
In fact, that is exactly what is happening under all those layers of skin, muscle, nerve, and connective tissue. Deep to all this, lies a complex matrix that has crystalline properties. Crystals are known for their highly organized molecular arrangement that allows them to act as a conductor of energy. This living matrix is highly sensitive to energetic influences and so the study of coherent light therapy, or cold laser therapy was born. The study of cold lasers and their effect in this living matrix led scientists to an amazing new discover. Communication processes are much faster than the speed of nerve conduction. This living matrix within all of us actually communicates at the speed of light!
Since the initiation of cold laser therapy in clinical use, the number of applications have been endless. The very first FDA approved application was for shoulder pain and motion restriction. The Erchonia laser has now been approved for neck and low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, general pain reduction, and many plastic and reconstructive surgery applications including wound healing, burns, liposuction and acne.

Not All Lasers Are Created Equally |
As scientists further pursued the effects of cold laser therapy they found that physiologic effects only occurred within a small window of parameters. Any stimulus outside of that window actually has a destructive rather than a stimulatory effect. The Erchonia laser holds the only patent on the market that is a dual diode 635 nanometer laser between 3 and 7 milliwatts of energy output with programmable frequencies for tissue dependent specificity.
