Greetings!
- Do you want to keep up to date with what your competitors are doing?
- Want to hear about Pfizer's and gsk's regionalisation & globalisation projects one year on?
- Intrigued to know the latest on the use of social media in Medical Communications?
Well next week, you can do just that at your desk for free!
Every October, the DIA hosts the Medical Information & Communications 3 day workshop in Europe. It's in the beautiful city of Lisbon next week (11-13th October). I can't wait to go! The conference includes session on; - Partnerships: getting it right
- Outsourcing: different models & sharing experience (plus outsourcing response documents)
- Legal issues relevant to Medical Information
- Putting Theory into Practice: 5 short presentations on wde ranging topics
- Social Media: how companies are using these tools and channels to engage with customers
- Globalisation & regionalisation: keeping standards high plus the Pfizer & gsk approaches
- Technology: knowledge portals, global databases, simplifying solutions
- Improving the image of the pharmaceutical image - our contributions
As part of the programme team, I hope we've made it a great conference. I'm chairing the Social Media session and the Outsourcing session and we have some fascinating information to share with you.
Not everyone can get to go - it's an expensive meeting and you are all busy people!
But you can read about the latest news & current thinking about Medical Information Management at your desktop or on your Blackberry. Every year I blog on 3 major topics that catch my interest & I know my clients are keen too.
So which three will I choose? I'll drop you an email from 18th October and include the links. One will defintely be the social media session as I believe it will be the communciation of this decade. So watch the blog for news & updates from Lisbon.

Watch out for Twitter too - #medinfo if you use twitter, watch my twitter stream - @sharonleighton.
