Recognizing courageous animals and people who've made the world a better place for pets
Part 2 of 2: Sprite, Pespi, Kendall, and Dr Levin - all heroes to me
I finally made it past page 146 of Rescuing Sprite and finished this wonderful book. I did so sitting under a giant Maple tree yesterday which offered me not only seclusion but comfort from its majestic timber. Murphy and Hudson weren't with me, a wise decision since there wasn't a tearless moment throughout and they hate to see me get all weepy. Read more at our Blog |
Mea Culpa
We're getting our message out there and I'm humbled by the outpouring of emails I've received thus far. The volume keeps increasing thankfully but to be honest, I'm having a tough time managing it.
Since all of you are kind enough to share your own stories, I just can't bring myself to reply with some sort of automated, canned response like others do. But that's getting harder now and I feel I've become remiss in keeping in contact.
So here are a few steps I'm taking to make me more efficient and responsive. First is I'm deleting two email accounts: info & lrobinson. Please use only my bigdog@2dogs2000miles.org to speak with me directly.

| Volunteers
I do our best to keep our overhead lean and rather than outsourcing basic tasks to service providers, I've been fulfilling the roles myself. I'm going to start asking for help from you in specific areas.
Right now, I need someone to help me with (1) web development (updating the website, etc) and (2) logistics. Out there on the road, I'll need a steady stream of supplies sent along the trail. Our sponsors won't be able to make weekly shipments so I'll need someone who can help manage the logistics. Please email me if you can help out in either capacity. |
Austin Launch Party
We're in the planning phase of our Austin Launch party which is another area we'll need volunteers to help out. The date's not set yet but we begin preparing it so if you plan on participating, please contact Lisa Wilson who's helping me coordinate the event.
