puppy up!
We're very excited to announce our new slogan, "puppy up!" We've filed a trademark application and just launched a webstore with apparel and merchandise based on the design!
Tis the season for giving and not only would these be great gifts but the net proceeds go to cancer prevention, too, which you can get a sneak peak of in our "Upcoming News" section. Plus, we just think they're way too cool! |

Recognizing animals and people commited to making the world a better place for pets
In this issue, I'd like to introduce you to one of the first and perhaps greatest animal activists, George Thorndike Angell. Upon learning about two horses that were raced over 40 miles to their death in 1868, he founded the first Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Within three years, anticruelty state legislation had been passed from Connecticut to California from his efforts. Truly a great man he was and a model for all of us. You can learn more about him on the MSPCA's website.
If you know of any endearing stories of people and animals, please submit them here.

Remembering Malcolm Regaling you with stories of that spirit which was his
Going down to the coast with my family over Thanksgiving stirred up a memory I had of Malcolm when we were traveling a few years back.
I had hastily packed up the SUV and despite that I knew the luggage wasn't stacked so well, we departed anyway. "I'll just drive slow", I'm thinking. Sure enough we encountered some road construction I didn't expect which made me stomp on the brakes. My girlfriend had neglected to close up her cosmetics case the contents of which were then spewed everywhere. When I turned around to check on Malcolm, he was covered in pink and blue curlers... Hehe... and the expression on his face was priceless. Even now, I can't stop laughing. I miss you mate.
