| School Fuel $250 Campaign | |
Help Stop State-Imposed Budget Cuts from Hurting Novato's Students
The Novato Unified School District is facing devastating funding cuts. Since 2008, almost $10 million has been cut from the state funding for our district and at least $2.8 million more needs to be cut from the budget for the 2010-2011 school year. School Fuel has launched a "$250 Campaign" to raise $250 for every student in the NUSD. If we reach this goal, we can offset the cuts that will be made in next year's budget. Please visit the School Fuel website at www.novatoschoolfuel.com and View the Campaign Presentation.
Novato schools provide a fabulous education for our children and $250 per child is a small amount to pay to maintain this quality. Not everyone will be able to give at this level. We are encouraging parents to give whatever they are able. Some people may be able to fund an extra child or a whole class!
Please help spread the word in our community about School Fuel's $250 Campaign - great schools are IMPORTANT! |

Ride and Raise Money for Hamilton School - May 1
The Tour of Novato is a one-day bicycling event held annually to raise money for Novato schools. This year's Tour of Novato is Saturday, May 1, at San Marin High School. The Tour of Novato is the largest annual fundraising event for the Novato Unified School District. The event raises money through riders who collect sponsorship pledges. In the event's first two years 230 riders raised over $140,000 for Novato schools. If you sign up toride, the money you raise goes directly to the school (or schools) of your choice. If you sponsor a rider, you are supporting the school of your rider's choice. Either way, you're doing a great thing for our kids.
