We are excited about our Sixth AnnualHave A Heart Auction
The Auction Event takes place on Saturday, March 6th @ The Next Key in Hamilton. Our Auction is so much more than just the party that night! It is what truly funds key programs, supplies and events here at Hamilton School.
Everyone can contribute in some way - want to know how?
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3!
1. The People: make a list of everyone you know. Include family friends, co-workers, neighbors, places where you go shop, everyone. Don't forget people you play sports with or go hiking with. Don't leave ANYONE out!
2. The Items: Make a list of items, talents, or services you think would make great auction items. We've posted 112 Auction Ideas and The ABC's of Getting Auction Items... on the home page of our Hamilton website (hamiltonschool.org) and in hardcopy form in the front office at school. Be creative! Items that have emotional impact are the best sellers.
3. The Match Game: After you make your list of people, begin the process of "matching" the items to the people. Make the match by putting the item next to the person on your list MOST LIKELY able to either donate the item or perhaps able to help you get the item from a 3rd party.
- After your list is complete start calling! Ask them if they would be willing to help you and help the students at Hamilton by supporting your auction. All they need to do to help is simply agree to donate the suggested item, or something comparable, or help you approach a third party to ask for an item. You will only be dealing with friends and family, and they are already people who would want to help if they only knew how. And with your list you can tell them how they can help!
-Auction Donation Forms and Item Submission Sheets can be found as a link on our homepage of the Hamilton website or in the front office as well as copies of a letter you can personalize to help you ask for contributions.
All you really know need to know is this: Item for submission, donor name, value of item.
-Offer to fill out all the paperwork for the donor and ask for the item or a gift certificate.
-Turn your forms into the office or contact Sally Carbonaro sally@horizoncable.com with the auction committee
You may know someone who would like to advertise to our community, tell them you have just the opportunity for them!
Maybe a relative or friend of yours is looking for a worthy cause to support with their corporate sponsorship
WE are that worthy cause! It doesn't hurt to ask and donated items are the backbone of this fundraiser
